The sweetest couple ever, Charley and Meg didn’t want a big “to-do” for their special day, but they did want their closest family members there to witness their nuptials. So this “elopement” was more like a small wedding, but was a surprise to their friends when they returned to Boston with photos of their wine country wedding to be presented at a party for them upon their return.
The ceremony was on the famous terrace, overlooking the Napa Valley and has quite possibly the greatest view in all the valley. Meg wrote their story like a fairytale, and the fabulous officiant, who’s voice rivals those of movie trailers, read their story like he was documenting the greatest event in history. It was truly unique, and gave me chills as he read of their travels together and their growing love up until this day.
She wore a simple yet divinely elegant modified A-line dress, while he had their wedding date stitched into the lining of his sport coat. They sipped real French champagne, as only Auberge du Soleil will do, dined on West coast fresh oysters and shrimp cocktail and mingled to the sweet sounds of local favorite, Bobby Valentine, on the acoustic guitar. The sun dipped behind the valley walls just in time for their champagne toast overlooking the vineyards and they walked hand in hand to their dinner celebration with their loved ones to finish the evening. I happily photographed this wedding for Kopol Bonick Art and Photography.
